Mary E. "Marie" Spring, 68, of Glenville, passed away February 24, 2010 at Ellis Hospital with her family at her side.

Born June 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Going Weise. Marie was also predeceased by her cherished grandmother Elizabeth Cameron Weise and loving sister Kathleen Wielt.

Marie was a 1959 graduate of Scotia-Glenville high school. She married Donald L. Spring on July 15, 1965. Marie always called Glenville her home and was employed by the Golub Corporation for 37 years at the Glenville Price Chopper in customer service. Marie was recently honored at her retirement by Lewis and Neil Golub.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a welcome presence at their many activities. She enjoyed travel with her husband following retirement to destinations throughout the world. Marie and Don were active with the Adirondack Red Wings and Union College Garnet Blades booster clubs and enjoyed going to many hockey games.

Survivors include her husband Donald, her daughters, Kerry Spring Rackey (husband Scott) and their children, Sam, Cameron and George; Donna Florkiewicz (husband Richard) and their children Bryan, Daniel and Sarah; special cousins, James, Robert, Dale, Timothy and Sean Going; Toni Williams, Wendy Brill, Jon Weise, Laurie Williams and Donald Weise, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Ellis Hospital, especially ICU for the compassionate care Marie and her family received.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville, NY 12302, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM.
