Ruth Eloise Kinney, 81, of N.Toll St. Scotia, went home to Jesus her saviour on July 29, 2010 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 2007.

 Her funeral will be held Thursday (Aug 4) at the First Baptist Church, 132 Mohawk Avenue, Village of Scotia, with Reverend Eric Reamer (Pastor) officiating. Relatives and friends of Mrs. Kinney may attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 3, 2010 from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. in Glenville.

The Kinney's would like to thank those who have supported them throughout Ruth's illness.  Many thanks to Reverend Eric and Rev. Jay Richmond for their spiritual assistance and friendship;

Ruth was born in Elizabethtown New York, the daughter of Oscar Jacobs and Rena Coonrod Jacobs.  She met and latter married Emmett "Bill" Kinney on October 2, 1948.

Ruth owned and operated Ruth Kinney Piano Lessons out of her home in Scotia for many years. 

She was of the Christian faith and a member of the Church at North Hills until it later merged with First Baptist Church in Scotia. 

Survivors include her beloved husband Bill, her children, a son, Mark A. Kinney and her daughter, Terri Kosten and her husband Thomas, of Bellaire, TX.  Five grandchildren and two cherished great grandchildren.
