Evelyn A. Bol, 83, formerly of Troy, died peacefully at Baptist Health Center on November 12, 2006.
Evelyn was born in (Maplewood) Watervliet, NY on October 29, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anastasia Bakun Szabiet. She was a graduate of Watervliet High School and the Troy Business College. Evelyn worked for a while at Behr Manning in Watervliet. On May 13, 1944 she married Cornelius Bol Jr. She was a housewife and mother. She lived in Clifton Park from 1976 until 2003. Evelyn moved to Diamond Ridge in the summer of 2003 and to the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center in July of 2005.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Neil in 1970, her son, Jeffrey Allan Bol in 1982, her brothers, Adam and Joseph Szabiet and her sister, Anna Harris of Albany.
Survivors include her beloved daughters: Carolyn Zych and her husband Gary of Rexford, and Barbara Lorenc of Atlanta, GA; her cherished grandchildren, Shelly Housel of Guilderland, Richard Neil and Julia Alanna Lorenc of Chicago, IL and Paul Jeffrey Lorenc of Atlanta, GA; and her former son-in-law, Jan Lorenc.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. A private interment was held in Memory's Garden Colonie.
